WINCHESTER- Garret Cunningham went 3 for 5 and drove in A.J. Eubank with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as James Wood's baseball team beat visiting Fauquier 4-3 in a non-district game Thursday night.

Eubank - the Colonels' No. 9 hitter - beat out an infield single with two outs in the ninth.

He then stole second before scoring on Cunningham's single down the left-field line.

Cunningham pitched the first 5 innings, giving way to Reese Alley (1-0) who got the win in relief. Alley struck out four in 3 innings.

Frank Minor was 2 for 4 at the plate for James Wood (4-10), and Tyler Murphy added a double.
